The Creeping Shadow by Jonathan Stroud

4.0

Oh my gosh what a wild ride. I love this series so much that I almost don't want to read the final book just to keep it alive.

There were so many things happening in The Creeping Shadow. Without spoiling, the Lockwood team finds out that some high up officials are corrupt and obviously has to stop them. After stopping the initial corruption, more corruption follows (which will be the closer to the series), and the group finds way more information about the Problem.

These characters are literally everything. I've even started liking Holly Munro after this one. Lockwood, Lucy, and George's relationship is heartwarming and hilarious as always. The dialogue left me laughing out loud once again - these guys are super witty. There were times that left me tearing up - Lockwood and Lucy finally have a moment. Even though there were times the story was chaotic it was just the right kind.

Of course, I'll have to read the next/last book even if it breaks my heart! Can't wait to see the conclusion, hoping that Lockwood and Co. gets everything that they deserve (in a good way).
