Forget Me Not by Rachel Leigh

4.0

This book was so very good. It immediately sucked me from the start hearing how Rhea’s life starts and her living on the street with her mom. You feel her hurt and loss and ultimately the desire of wanting to live that “normal” life. When she finally makes it to Lockhaven and you start to see her character develop, you watch her life slowly unfurl due to wanting to fit in and not knowing where or how. And then comes Alaric. Dark, handsome, jaw dropping, age-gap, mysterious Alaric. And just when you thought there couldn’t possibly be any more surprises, the author throws ONE more atcha at the very end, that definitely had my jaw hitting the floor.

These characters and the plot were very well developed and while this is a dark romance with darker themes, the spice is medium. Meaning- there are only a few truly spicy scenes but they are definitely open door and blistering!

With every good dark romance, there are a list of trigger warnings that should NOT be avoided if you need to read them for your own mental health. Please be aware of this as you begin the book.

With all of this being said, this book had me looking up all of the other works by this author, it was that good!
