So beautiful

This was an a beautiful, emotional story. I’ve been silently crying for the last fifteen percent of this book.
I read a sample of this, just a few pages, and immediately bought it. I’ve spent a few hours the previous night and then an hour this morning finishing it up. I lost count of the amount of times my heart stopped, raced, and jerked. But I also laughed and smiled like a loon in some parts.
I adored Maisie and the quick friendship she formed with Bea. She’s the kind of friend all women should have. And I loved the addition of Harlow, who was a voice of reason for Maverick. Same with Nash, who was definitely a favorite. The perfect big brother.
This was a story of pain, anger, hurt, forgiveness, healing, and love.
Maverick was angry, and rightly so, after losing a year of his life. I understood the rationale behind his anger and his actions. And he needed to go through that state for him to grow.
Bea was so strong, even in the moments where she fell. What she went through was horrible, but she kept moving forward. It was difficult to watch her journey, but so worth it.
Watching them find each other again warmed my heart. They were made for each other. Even through the hate Maverick felt and the guilt Bea felt, there was no denying the fact that they were two halves of a whole.
I will definitely be read in more from this author.
