Owen’s life is so boring. He lives for the exciting adventures in his favourite books and wishes he had the chance to be a hero like the characters. But he never imagines that could be a real possibility until the day he sees his classmate, Bethany, climb out of a book. He soon learns that she is half-fictional and searching for her missing father in every book she can find. In exchange for keeping Bethany’s secret, Owen makes her take him into his favourite series … where he subsequently inserts himself into the story and changes everything!

Now Owen must take the place of the main character and keep the story on track, while Bethany tries to round up the missing characters in the real world and return them where they belong.

It’s a middle-grade book lover’s fantasy/sci-fi adventure, and it’s a lot of fun!
