The Heir by Kiera Cass

1.0

This book made me completely abandon this series....
DNF at 5th chapter.

I must say this book was a HUGE letdown compared to the first three books. I enjoyed the story about America and Maxon, even though it was a bit sappy. Being introduced a completely new set of characters made me not want to continue. I think "The One" wrapped the story up perfectly with a happy ending. I just didn't care about some new princess, which is why I felt that I did not have to read the following books....
I had no affection for these new characters and knew nothing about them, nor do I have any intention of ever getting to know them.

Eadlyn is superficial and self-centered and the world building is even worse than the previous books. Cass has not given the political prospect of running a country a second thought, and has made it look like a dance on roses. On top of that, Eadlyn has no political experience whatsoever and only cares about boys and pretty dresses. She is no fit for a queen.

I feel that this sequel and the following are unnecessary and you can read the first three books and not miss out on anything.
