The Good Doctor of Warsaw by Elisabeth Gifford

emotional inspiring sad medium-paced

4.0

Amazing

The story is a time honoured one we're all familiar with from our shared histories of WW2 but it has never been so personal, so detailed and so moving before when telling it of a whole community.

Gifford doesn't sugar coat anything, doesn't make anything more palatable for the reader but she also doesn't exaggerate or over emote. The tone is perfect for the content and the context.

We should all know more about Pan Doctor. We should all live a little more closely to his philosophy.
