Bad Art Mother by Edwina Preston

4.0

I loved the way the author has sketched out the social and physical landscape of 1960’s Melbourne in this novel. I also loved the structure which could have been as chaotic as Owen’s childhood but Preston made it work perfectly. I don’t understand why both the price and gallery for the Jackson Pollock painting was incorrect - it seems such an odd thing to get wrong. I thought it may have been intentional but if it is I don’t know what purpose that served.
