Overall, I really liked the story. I did enjoy the physical tension they had right from the beginning. I loved the relationship Evie and Sam built, and it was tender to see them interact, especially when reading from Jake's point of view. I gave it a 4 star rating here, but I would say more 3.5 stars. That dock mostly comes from just a little too much physical tension through the book. There were moments where it was just right, but there were also times where it felt like it didn't move the story along as well as I personally would have liked. I did really like the book though.

It was fun to read a story about epilepsy and service dogs. That was new and fresh. I also have read a lot of books lately set in South Carolina, and I gotta say, I'm so not mad about that. I definitely will be looking up more books by Sarah Adams. I already have the next one up on my kindle.
