The Punic Wars by Adrian Goldsworthy

3.0

Goldsworthy has this unique ability to make even the most fascinating topics sound dull and clinical.

This is a detailed book about the series of Punic Wars, and a short discussion of what could have happened if Carthage had won. It's a good reference point, but there are other books on the Punic Wars that might be less of a chore to read.
