The Last Mrs. Parrish
by Liv Constantine
3.25 stars
This is an easy, propulsive read. Amber is a devious main character who is hoping to worm her way into Daphne's life to steal her husband and become THE Mrs. Jackson Parrish. Daphne is fairly sympathetic, as she seems like a good mother who has a foundation in the name of her sister who died of cystic fibrosis.
Jackson? He's rich but doesn't seem redeeming in any other way.
While this was an easy read, I felt like I've read this novel before - 1, 2, or 3 times before. Maybe The Wife Between Us? Maybe Verity? Maybe McFadden's The Wife Upstairs? They all kind of coalesce in my brain.
My big problem with this one was the comeuppance for Amber, without giving any spoilers.
