Where Time Stands Still by N.S. Perkins
5.0
If you follow me on my other social media accounts you may already know how much I absolutely adore both [a:N.S. Perkins|21218195|N.S. Perkins|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1668352115p2/21218195.jpg] previous books, and this one was no different.
Her stories have an element that I love: they are always filled with emotions and real struggles on the characters' lives that can bring us to tears a few times throughout the book. But I have to say, I feel like this one just might take the cake for the most emotional yet — from the synopsis you can already guess why that is.
During the story is impossible to not fall in love with Wren and Aaron, both as characters and as a couple. They both deal with tough realities and had such great development. Watching their relationship evolve wish such a natural pace made my heart warm. Also, Aaron just might be one of the best book boyfriends ever, with all those quotes that makes us swoon.
Now, I have to highlight a thing that was one the main reasons I quickly fell in love with N.S. Perkins as an author and her books, and on this book she absolutely nailed once again: the side characters. I know this is something many people may not care much, but she writes them so well. You can't help but grow to care about of all them with their different personalities and struggles; it just adds an amazing layer to the story and it makes it more real for me somehow, and I appreciate that the most in fictional books.
I'm honestly so sad that I finished this quickly and I can't wait for what's to come from Noémie next.
BTW: The cameo?!?!? I was already expecting it but oh my god I was just smiling so much every time they were mentioned. Ahh I love the N.S. Perkins Literary Universe...

P.S.: If you read the acknowledgements you might notice a "Clara" there *wink* *wink*. I honestly am so so glad that I got to know Noémie and her books this year, they mean so much to me and literally became a few of my favorites. Finding out Noémie to be one of the kindest souls ever was also an amazing extra!
