Unfortunately the environments in many modern classrooms and workplaces are not well suited to introverts. Citing many examples, Susan Cain discusses why this is a problem for both introverted individuals and society as a whole. The book also contains plenty of advice on how to survive if you sometimes find your world overwhelming and why you shouldn't simply conform to the norm. "This above all: to thine own self be true". Recommended!
