The Art of War
by Sun Tzu
This book is interesting. In part, this book is a little hard to read because we as consumers have become so acustomed to the idea of war being a subject of passions that, when you begin to read this book, the lack of emotion is like a bucket of cold water. Once the shock wears off, the reading is very much like that of an instruction manual for doing something like fixing a car, it's very systematic. Another thing you notice, even if you didn't know initially, this book was writen by Sun Tzu for somebody else, a person or persons who had some kind of control over the military. The quotes and stories are also very interesting, ranging from ancient Chinese generals, to the World Wars. This is a book I would recommend for anyone with an interest in Military history.
