Midnight Riot by Ben Aaronovitch

4.0

The first time I read this book, I made it to page 80. I think it was me, because this time I rather enjoyed it.

The best part of this book is the voice. There's so much personality in every sentence!

Many called this book funny. I'd say it was witty. There were many clever lines but I didn't actually laugh.

I didn't always like Peter (he thought about sex too often and we didn't really need descriptions of every woman's legs, boops, hips, ect.)

The world wasn't the most original but it certainly had a unique magic system.

It was an excellent mystery and I didn't guess the "who done it". However, there were aspects that were really stupid.
Spoiler(The whole Punch and Judy thing with the victims being made to look like the puppets before their faces fell off was just dumb.)

Yes, I eventually plan to read the next one.
