Martin Chuzzlewit by Charles Dickens

5.0

Woohoo! This novel was a lot more fun than I expected (Dickens rarely disappoints). Although not the main point either of the novel or my interest, I was entertained by the American chapters. We have changed very little since Dickens wrote this: the characterizations and issues could easily have been a satire on current politics. Five big stars!
