While the science that he simplified for us to understand was beneficial he injected politics into science with references to Brexit and Donald Trump. To imply that a referendum or election are proof that mankind (or at least the people that disagree with his politics) is garbage demonstrates why it is important for politicians to be politicians and scientists to be scientists. It is excellent and encouraged to have opinions of events in the world, but it is small-minded to assume that political events that go against your desired outcomes are somehow horribly detrimental to the existence of humanity. I would think someone who had such awesome intelligence could realize this, and perhaps it was just slipped in there to make sure the book sold.

I enjoy listening to the ideas and concepts, and honestly wish that I had the opportunity to meet someone with a great mind like his.
