Now, I might be more inclined to emotion due to the fact that I’m pregnant, but I cried heavily with this book.
My heart hurt at the fact that Kenna had not spent any time with her daughter in her 5 years of life. While I understood that most of this was due to her being in prison, it hurt me to find out that she couldn’t even see her after giving birth to her.
To be honest, I was so focused on the mother/daughter dilemma that my brain didn’t focus on the romance part of the book! I spent a lot of the time wondering if it wouldn’t pan out just because he was Scotty’s best friend.
The resolution was exactly what I wanted though, and that made me cry more. It might have been a little predictable, but that was okay with me! ♥️
