Final Girls by Riley Sager

dark tense medium-paced

2.75

I usually eat up Riley Sager book but this was a bit hard to get into for me personally. I found the main character to be a bit one dimensional, yes she went through a lot of trauma but it just doesn’t give her character flavor. She has very textbook PTSD and anxiety symptoms. And the plot felt a bit… rushed… I don’t know exactly how to explain it. Some of the twists were kind of cringe, especially towards the end of the book

The first half of the book was quite boring tbh… there wasn’t much happening and it all felt a bit like it was filler for what was going to be unveiled at the end. The premise was good but it just missed the mark to be an amazing thriller book for me.
