I am still processing my thoughts on this book and soaking it in now that I have finished. What I do know for sure is that the writing was beautifully descriptive with unique ways of painting each scene and the words are strung together in ways where I read them several times to truly appreciate them. Aside from that I also know that I will be rereading this when it is officially released both in search of things I missed on my first read and to see what more I can glean to better grasp the ending. I can see this book fitting well for readers who appreciate horror, mystery, boarding schools, dark academia, and shows like Wednesday and Monster High (however a bit more gruesome and brutal, in all the best of ways, though).
Graphic: Body horror, Violence
Minor: Sexual assault
