The Seven Year Slip by Ashley Poston
4.0

I'm wavering between 4 and 5 stars...

5 because it is a beautiful story about love and grief in an interwoven, time-bending fashion. It's funny and sweet and has some very real, highlight-worthy passages about living life to the fullest and missing loved ones who have passed on.

4 because the ending came too soon and I wanted to know more about what becomes of our main character after changing life circumstances. Also there was a connection made around the end of the book that I would have loved to see expanded upon a bit more (and the reactions of certain people who would need to learn about said connection!)

Maybe because, even though I do love romances, I'm cynical and a couple of weekends plus a few meetings 7 years later doesn't seem like enough time to fall in love with someone.

This is one I would order and place on my bookshelf. Ashley Poston is going up there with Emily Henry on my list of favorite romance writers. I simply cannot wait to get my hold of The Dead Romantics.
