About the Book

A young man returns home to find the quaint little town he has settled in hides a terrible secret, and something hungry and evil in the dark is hunting people.

Why did I choose this book to read?

This was a free horror story from Kindle and the cover made me eye it up. I decided I had to give this one a try.

Pricing

Free, at the time of purchase, on the Kindle Store.

What did I think of it?

This. Was. Amazing. This was extremely well written. I found myself drawn into it word after word, This has a such an amazing prospect behind it. When I got to the end of this, I threw my phone onto my bed in desperation at the immediate need for more. Evans published the prologue and some of the first chapter for free so he could get an idea of if he should continue on with writing it. I need more of this.

Did I have any qualms with it?

When I didn’t know why Evans had released it as he did, I was very annoyed and it being so short and abruptly finished. I thought it was just a short story and was ready to two star this in frustration before seeing why it was so short.

Would I recommend it and who to?

This is a definite recommendation from me and I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys horror.

Overall opinion

I cannot wait to get the full version of this book and devour the rest of it. It was absolutely stunning and I really need that damn book. I need to know what happened. Evans has set this up so well, I’m in awe. It’s rare to come across a free sample this good on the Kindle Store and I’m so glad I got to find it and have the honour of reading it.
