Wow. What a special story. So heartbreaking. But also somehow so life-affirming.

I’ll try not to do too many spoilers here, but I can’t believe that the ending of that book is where we got to with the first chapter that we started with. Let me forewarn you: check the trigger warnings! Phoebe is going through it at the beginning, and I was convinced that the story was going to live out a depressive episode for the whole book.

But instead we get a story about the vitality of the human spirit and how one event can transform your entire outlook. And then the series of events that follow could actually change your life.

What a raw, honest, cutting book about the choices you make and how living your life we reckless abandon actually can turn out okay. It’s okay to be reckless and fearless and brave and scared and not okay. Loved it.❤️
