The Dishonorable Miss Delancey by Carolyn Miller

2.0

Possibly the worst book I've skimmed in the last ten years!   Like, even by garbage mind-rot to keep awake while tending to sick kids all night reading standards, it may be the worst paint-by-number Regency Romance I've ever encountered, and that's saying something.  I think I may even prefer the lurid sex-scenes versions (ick) to this sort: where everybody gets redeemed by God and winds up rich with money they didn't earn, in the end.  It's like Prosperity Gospel for people who liked based-on-Jane-Austen movies (but probably didn't read the books).   If you just pray enough, God will make you rich!
