Everything, Everything
by Nicola Yoon
I am conflicted on this. It was an easy, cute, read. Maddy falling in love with the boy next door was inevitable, and relatable. The ending seemed like a copout to me.
Maddy's mom, in an effort to preserve her daughter after losing her husband and son in an accident, made up the diagnosis. It also made me thing. It would have been interesting to see this end delve deeper into mental illness, but that wasn't Maddy's story, so maybe the author had reason.
