This book is VERY spicy!!! Honestly I picked this book up by mistake but I figured I love the author so I might as well read the book. I’ve got to be honest this is not a book I would read on purpose and it’s not the type of book I would find myself picking up again. This is a book meant for HORNY individuals and if that is not you I recommend putting this book down. I’m not a HUGE fan of smut so I definitely skipped through 20% of this book lol. But if that’s you’re MO I think you’ll love it.

For all intensive purposes I would say this is an ok book. The chemistry between Jasmine and Rahul is incredible. I mean as soon as you open the book you can tell how much they love one another. You can tell that they both genuinely love and care for each other and SO intensely. Personally I felt the smut to be a bit much… I wish there were more scenes where we saw the protagonist interacting with one another and having meaningful moments with sex involved. I feel like there was little to no real character development. Towards the end of the novel you’ll see that Jasmine is growing as an individual but honestly the whole premise of the story is a bit lackluster. I’ve got to be honest and just say Jasmine is a terrible individual. She’s not that great of a character and she’s really hard to root for. She goes out of her way to sabotage herself and those around her. Overall she’s kind of a disaster and while the author alludes to her having a past filled with trauma and neglect it still does not excuse the fact that she’s not the nicest person and makes shitty choices. Rahul deserves better. But when you love someone so much it’s hard to even think that better exists.

I don’t love this book simply because I don’t love Jasmine. This probably has more to do with me in the authors writing but I found it hard to believe that a character like Jasmine can exist it’s incredibly difficult for my brain to fathom and individual doing everything in their power to sabotage something that’s good for them. Again excellent characters I just had a hard time connecting to the protagonist and I think that’s simply due to the fact that I’ve never met anyone as toxic as Jasmine and I’m immensely thankful for that.

This book didn’t really do anything for me and it’s very forgettable. By no means is this a necessary read and I hate to say it but if you’re able to read a summary about the book that will be just as sufficient as freading the actual book. I don’t regret reading this book but I also didn’t enjoy it. I definitely could’ve found a better way to spend four hours lol.
