The first like 200-250 pages of this book are so HARD, the world building is so minutiae but once you’re in it you eat the story up.
I LOVED the ending being about Jessica and Chani and not about Paul a LOT.
I also think the book could’ve been like 100-200 pgs smaller at the least, some things were overwritten, some chapters barely changed anything other than vibes but there were chapters that were SO GOOD.
The one thing that did drove me crazy was the POV jumping from one paragraph to another and you just had to catch up otherwise nothing made sense.
I’d definitely read Dune Messiah when I’m feeling like some sci fi.
