“I’ve lost you,” he muttered, scanning my face again. “Fuck’s sake. I had you and now you’re gone again.”“I’m right here, you numpty.” I tried to force a smile, but by the look on Ollie’s face, I didn’t quite manage it.

Every book that Susie Tate writes is an auto read for me, at this point. Ollie & Lottie's story was so compelling and it made me cry at times too. It was so sad seeing Lottie get treated the way she was and the first half of the book made me feel so crestfallen. But Hayley's appearances always put me in in a good mood. The way Ollie and his family bonded with her was so heartwarming and I loved the way she grew confident as she became comfortable around them. And seeing her friendship bloom with Florrie was just so special because those two girls were absolutely precious! Ollie made quite a few mistakes on the way but he was always there for Lottie when she was in a tough spot. I liked the way she didn't make it easy for him and made him work to get her back. And as usual, the side characters made this book even more interesting, especially Vicky. I can't wait for her & Mike's book next!
