Greg Rucka is good, you can trust him with your faves (his Wonder Woman comics are a real chef’s kiss.) The writing was genuinely good to the point where giving it three stars feels like a lowball, but all things considered I care more about what happens to these three after TFA and together rather than before it and apart, so my engagement level was about a three. I thought I would care most about Rey’s story (and it is good, and heartbreaking) but Poe’s was the best one because it was partially about him meeting his new mom General Organa, and if the whole book had been that I think it would have been a 4 or 5 star experience. I feel like most tie-in novels are garbage trash but I can genuinely recommend this one.
