I finished this one this morning and I can't wait to start Traitor to th Throne.

In the biggining there was something that was making it a little difficult to get into the story, but maybe that was college. I really liked this world and the character development. I do thing we can see Jin and Amani growing in this book. I think, in the beggining, Jin didn't care about all that much

except his family

and Amani only cared about herself and Tamid, even tho that in the end she ended up caring more about herself than him. So I really liked seeing Amani go from not caring about anyone except herself and leaving people behind to starting to care about Jin and her friends.

Never though she was going to end up being magical, always thought it's Jin who was a djinn
