Seeds of Sorrow by Elle Beaumont, Christis Christie

3.0

I received this book as an E-Arc in return for a honest review. All thoughts and opinions remain my own.
When I saw this was a Hades x Persephone retelling, I was immediately interested. I LOVE Hades x Persephone stories. This retelling however, had a fae/vampire twist! It was written in 3rd person, which I'm not too fond of but I guess that's just personal preference. There were a lot of mythical creatures in this one: fae, vampires, goblins, werewolves and so much more. It was a little bit overwhelming in my opinion, and the fae didn't really feel like fae to me (just like normal humans tbh). The world building was okay, the plot was somewhat predictable but still really enjoyable. It's got enemies to lovers, the slowburn and forced proximity. All of my favourite tropes! Overall the romance was cute, and it stayed true to the hades x persephone myth but with a creative twist that I hadn't seen before!
