Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea by April Genevieve Tucholke
Did not finish book.
I dunno man. I got about 20ish pages in, and between the use of the slur g*psy to describe a 'wild, carefree heart', the insta-love for River, and the protagonist's pretentious expression of using 'strange, awkward words' because she reads *so much* and socializes *so little* (all of this, by the way, over the word 'hence'. Hence. Hence is not a strange or awkward word. I've literally never heard anyone be confused by the usage of the word 'hence'. Honestly.) I just don't think I'm going to like this book, since I'm already ranting and I don't even know what the plot is yet. So, yeah. DNF.
