Enter the world of Tony Chu, a federal agent who can get psychic impressions from the things he eats. And since he works for the FDA in a world where chicken is outlawed after a global poultry apocalypse, he often ends up eating the remains of bad guys and smugglers to get his leads. This bok starts from bizarre, goes to bonkers, then throttles up to batshit by about the second volume, and then just floors it from there. It's weird and wonderful, operating fully on its own crazy wavelength that involves more psychic eating powers, cyborgs, vampires, alien fruit, a psychic rooster, massive conspiracies, alien visitation, and more. It's all done in a relentlessly smart-aleck fashion that even when it's careening over the top, you don't mind, because the ride is so much fun.
