I enjoyed this one and I think this series has a lot of potential to be truly spectacular. This first book, while good, was full of a lot of set up - plot, character development, relationship development, world building, etc. My guess is that book two will shine even more, so I’m excited to read that when it comes out!
For the romantasy girlies, it’s interesting that, by the end of this book, it’s unclear who will be the primary romantic interest in the series overall. I kind of liked that! And, thankfully, neither one was generally pretty miserable like a certain love interest in the ACOTAR series.
Worth the read for romantasy fans!
