Alias Grace by Margaret Atwood
3.0
Atwood is amazing, and although this is definitely not my favorite book by her, I did really enjoy this. Even her interpretation of this real person and the acts did not give answers, and made you wonder. I found myself feeling confident that Grace was innocent (i.e. a victim of circumstances) and then in the next chapter, 100% convinced of her guilt and her ability to play others.
I honestly found the weakest parts to be the doctor's. I found him weak and although I "got" the parallels, I just didn't like this guy and how he really was no different in how he treated Grace.
Regardless of the role she played, I truly believe that Grace led a terrible life before all that happened. It's hard to believe she endured so much before she was even 16.
