I didn’t really know what to expect going into this but I really liked it! It was a short cute book about cats and how they impact peoples lives. The guy who made Your Name wrote it so I had to check it out. Apparently it’s an anime? Or was an anime first? I have to watch it! The translator was also really good, it felt quite smooth as a translated text, and makes me kind of want to try Convenience Store Woman.
I liked the images at the start of a new section, the cover is also gorgeous. The title as well is really poignant.
It was simple but so expertly done how all of the lives interconnected in the stories. The first one with Chobi really ensnared me. It was so cool having both the cats perspective and the persons. The things the cats would do at times or their reasoning made so much sense for a cat.
Something I really liked about it was how the setting gripped me and made it feel real.
