mtroeller 's review for:
A Tale of Two Cities
by Charles Dickens
I’m currently 0-2 over the last month on enjoying literary classics.
The best part of this book (and only good part) was the parting line of the novel for 2 reasons. “It is a far, far better thing that I do, than I have ever done; it is a far, far better rest that I go to than I have ever known.”
1. The books over, HOORAY!!
2. Detective Gordon eulogizes Bruce Wayne/Batman with this line at his “funeral”
Maybe books like 1984 or A Tale of Two Cities can only be enjoyed if your high school teacher is forcing you to enjoy it (jk, you couldn’t read either of these books in Florida high schools, they have kissing
