John Dies at the End by David Wong

5.0

My friend recommended this book to me because we are both avid readers of Cracked.com. The book is hysterical (David Wong has a way with words), action-packed, and there is not a dull moment cover to cover.

That said, the book is not for everyone. It's incredibly bizarre, gross, and is full of profanity. To me, those three things combined make the perfect book. But not everyone agrees. Personally, I adored the book and cannot wait for the sequel/movie.

Give it a shot. If you don't like the book after a chapter or two, you probably won't enjoy it. But, if you're like me, you'll get sucked in right away. Just take the book for what it is: a hilarious, sci-fi, monster, horror, weird novel that gets stranger and stranger the further in you get.
