The Help by Kathryn Stockett

5.0

Before I wrote my review I read countless other reviews and to my amazement people actually thought this book wasn't a just depiction of the sum of it all. I think you have to step outside yourself , your race, your beliefs to truly appreciate this book. I could do a review from a black woman's perspective but that's not what this book was about for me. These women were strong and brave. The risk they took for their voice to be heard was nothing short of amazing. If anything that's the best part of the book. Doing what's right despite the consequences. Kathryn Stockett is brilliant and it was beautifully written.
