The Island by Natasha Preston
2.0
I typically love Natasha Preston, but this one wasn't a hit for me. It almost read like a horror movie parody rather than a serious horror novel. And there wasn't really an ending... I'm genuinely unsure what the last couple of sentences in the book are supposed to mean for the character involved. I turned the page expecting there to be more, or some kind of glimpse of the future to explain what happened, but... nope. We just end mid-scene with that uncertainty.
