โ€œI won't ever be too far away to feel you
And I won't hesitate at all
Whenever you call
And I'll always remember
The part of you so tender
I'll be the one to catch your fall
Whenever you callโ€ ~ Mariah Carey

These lyrics so perfectly summarize this story.
โ€Œ
Yesterday (Motherโ€™s Day) I showed my daughter this book and said, this book was sooo (then sighs and placed a hand over my heart). Kinsley says, โ€œYou tell me every day and I look forward to hearing how much you loved it tomorrow, too.โ€
โ€Œ
Yes, itโ€™s true. Iโ€™ve been gushing about this book since I read it a few days ago. Itโ€™s mostly Lucy recounting memories of the love shared through the years between she and Gabe. They met in college on 9/11 and have remained fixtures in each otherโ€™s lives since, in some capacity.
โ€Œ
Kismet.
โ€Œ
Itโ€™s the story of how that one love can impact the rest of your life. Even after they broke up, and went their separate paths, pursuing their passions and dreams, they continued to always seek out and find each other in the end. As the story progresses, I was so upset with Lucyโ€™s choices and how she never seemed to grow from her first real love. Gabe broke her heart and she continued to drop everything for him. But, I get it.
โ€Œ
The art exhibit scene wasโ€ฆ it was just so beautiful. Even though Gabe wasnโ€™t physically present, Lucy remained heavily etched in his mind and heart. The little things that they did over the years to show how deeply they felt for each other was so sweet.
โ€Œ
The story was quite beautiful and brought me to tears in the end. I really didnโ€™t expect things to take the turn they did, and my goodness my heart was literally shattered.
โ€Œ
This is not a sweet, perfect, angsty romance. This is a topsy turvy, do you want me or not, complicated, what couldโ€™ve been love story that spans multiple years and I enjoyed every bit of this crazy emotional roller coaster!
โ€Œ
The author narrates and does a great job of amplifying the emotions entailed. Great work writing and narrating!!
