3.5 Stars! This was very much a Norwegian version of Catcher in the Rye, which I did not like. But this was funnier and had a much nicer ending. It had some beautiful moments of clarity, good advice and observations. I liked the very real and natural way he connected with Lise and the little boy. The joy he found in simple things like I’ve cream and the hammer and peg. It’s a very good form of therapy. And I enjoyed seeing his relationship with his brother improve, him taking care of a dog, and seeing NYC through this lens. It was an easy and calming book.
