I listened to the audiobook, and I’m not sure how much of my “meh” feelings were due to the choppy style of the narrator and how much was the author’s writing style. There wasn’t much character development, and the fact that these men were all fighting against each other for who was going to get to be with the wife and daughter was so arrogant. What/who THEY wanted was of no concern to the man who was supposed to love them. Ick
