The good: Trans and gay representation, Latinx representation, Dia de Muertos (not the commercialized version), the importance of found family and acceptance from blood family, activist leanings (loved Maritza's character!)

The not so good: Pace. It felt slow to me, probably because majority of the content centered on developing the characters of Yadriel and Julian and their love story. I kept thinking, "When will I see more of the brujx magic?" Character development and the love story was done well though, so if you're into that, you'll like this. Maybe it's just me being too old for a YA love story.
