I thought the story was interesting and I enjoyed reading it (in one day) but I have several small nitpicks about the development. Lucy was very strangely developed as well as all of the side characters. I liked the sister storyline but the other friendships in this novel were very shady. The bullying aspect along with the (e)vil club gave the book a very Glee kind of vibe in its mix of humor and drama. I appreciate it but find it unrealistic at the same time. Also the constant reminiscing and references to songs on Lucy's part was a tad repetitive and annoying. The happily ever after ending was also a bit much for me. But from a writing perspective, I gathered some helpful tidbits for myself.
