Anne of Green Gables by L.M. Montgomery
5.0

I’ve been told again and again to read this classic - I finally got around to it and I understand why. From the very beginning, I was hooked. Anne (with an “e”) was a kindred spirit from the moment I first met her on the page. I was reminded of what childhood is like, and reminded to take pleasure in the simple things of life. Whether in the beauty of Avonlea or the stubbornness of the red headed girl, I was captivated by the wit and wisdom of Green Gables. I recommend this book to anyone who just needs a fresh look at the world and needs to remember the childlike wonder of life.
