This book was doomed from chapter 4, they hook up and immediately become obsessed with each other.
My main issue was that Alexis was ashamed of Daniel throughout the book yet she keeps talking about this attraction that they have with each other, but the thing is that we are being told that they like each other and not being shown. I was sure I hated Alexis as a character when she got mad at her friends for wanting to leave a one star review of Daniel’s b&b (rightfully so) and then got mad at Daniel for comping their stay (again, rightfully so). She a hypocrite who talks about her friends being entitled when shoe doesn’t know what a broom is, has never peeled a potato in her whole life and doesn’t know that her own house has an emergency button that allows her to open the garage when the power goes out. Daniel on the other hand may seem like a golden retriever but he was nothing but a doormat who Alexis kept being ashamed of and treating like shit yet he kept going back to her. Honestly they deserve each other.
