Sunrise on the Reaping by Suzanne Collins
3.25

It was fine. Collins got away with one prequel because it was set so long before the initial trilogy that most of the characters' fates were unknown. In this book, we know the outcome already. The book felt unnecessary as a whole; it failed to illustrate anything new that we had not seen before. We already had 3 novels full of narration from an underdog tribute from the Seam of District 12. Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes was unique in offering a Capitol citizen's perspective. All this said, Collins still wrote a fast-paced book that was hard to put down, so I'll give her that.
