i really enjoyed this! the variety of “easy jobs” and the strange and/or stressful situations that the main character finds herself in were really interesting and unexpected. thoroughly enjoyed the book because of the performance.

if you’re looking for more insights of the characters regarding labor and such though there’s little discussion of it in the book, but it’s definitely fun to think about on your own afterwards.

i enjoyed this kind of protagonist, someone who just really does their best.

i’m currently in a state of job insecurity at my workplace and am currently job hunting. the whole process is making me feel hopeless, but how this novel wrapped up made me feel a little bit better.
