Miss Julia did me dirty. I love her but not this book. I feel very much the same way about this story as I do about Eloise’s story in the bridgerton series. Sir Richard sucks and I don’t find him an intriguing love interest. I also think it took way too long to be told what his ‘secret’ was when I found it pretty obvious. The plot could have improved with more anger as the secret was discovered sooner or with some snooping from Iris to try and sus out what his intentions really were. I found that it just fell flat for me.
