I liked it more than Maggie's Grave but less than The Haar. Would put this in a collection with Mister Magic and Carrie. Though more brutal. Always more brutal. The ending genuinely surprised me but maybe it shouldn't have. Another tragically happy ending. it did bother me that Rotten Tommy seemed like this unstoppable force UNTILL we found out he was a good guy who wanted to protect Becky. Also, I've read SO MANY BOOKS where the main character is clearly autistic so to have one where it's outwardly stated that she is was so freakin nice. She was unmasking and just trying to live a good life and everyone around her was such a dick, they got what they deserved imo. Easily puts this into a Good For Her category for me.
